3 Self-Defense Moves Everyone Should Know

By on April 7, 2014

Self-defense expert and author of “Survive the Unthinkable” Tim Larkin stops by WSJ’s offices with a step-by-step tutorial of three moves that every person should know, and hopefully never have to use, on an attacker.

Move #1

Use your forearm to strike the attacker at the throat. Move your body weight into the strike.

Move #2

Use your elbow to strike the attacker at the midsection. Again, use all your body weight to strike the solar plexus in the abdomen. Hit him with everything you have.

Move #3

Use your chin to kick him in the groin.

Put all three moves together to stun your attacker and run away!
