A must have for vehicles and 72 hour bags!

These were a great purchase! I personally keep 8 of these in my vehicle! I travel a lot and I like to have a sense of being prepared incase my vehicle breaks down and if I am unable to stay in my vehicle this provides me with shelter and warmth. It is a great feeling to know with kids I have a emergency kit in my vehicle and in my 72 hour bag that way I can be prepared for anything. These were a great addition to my survival gear!

This is kinda cool. We have not used it yet and so it’s in storage. I have great faith in mylar because I have used it in the past and was amazed how well it worked, even made me hot. I think its a super kit to have on hand in case of an emergency and I will be purchasing more of them for the whole family.

Tougher material then I thought, & warmer then I imagined. I’m in Southern Oregon & the night I tested, it only got to 48, but I definitely could have taken some more cold. I had a tarp down, then the tent, & the blanket around me inside the sleeping bag between a big lava rock (tied off one rope end to a lose rock & jammed it between some other rocks) & old pine, (tied the other rope end to a lower trees branch). I used some branches to add some wind block for the tent on my exposed (tree) side. Bag is spacious & tent has some room to squeeze in your pack in as a door, I had the other end blocked w/ a few decent rocks. I didn’t want to take a chance tearing the materials, so I didn’t make a leafy mattress, I just used my jacket as a sleeping pad works just fine, & less to carry. This it fits in my packs hydration pouch, w/ the bladder, & there’s no worry of puncture or tearing to either. Weights almost nothing, & will hold up if used w/ care. Since my test I have added a kit to my 9 year old’s bag, to share w/ his 4 year old brother; i switched out the sleeping bag for a 2 person bag & the 9 year old carries that kit & in the 4 years old’s pack i have an additional emergency blanket & 2 G.I (casualty) blankets, while I carry the (extra) sleeping bag, just in case.
