Keeps you dry, packs down small, love the draw-string hood

I purchased these ponchos to go in my backpacking gear, football game stadium seats and get-home bag. Things I really like: It packs down small. The draw-string hood sets this apart from other throw-away ponchos. It’s big enough to mostly cover a backpack. It WILL keep the rain off of you. What I don’t like: It’s not particularly tough (it tears easily), but it’s DISPOSABLE.

Saved us from drenching at Disneyland.

Used these at Disneyland and CA adventure for Splash mountain and Grizzly River run. Nice because they were thin and lightweight like a garbage bag. Long enough to go to knees so your behind was covered when sitting on already wet seat. If it would have rained these would have been great to wear around park.

Good value & versatility- fits and works

 on March 1, 2012
The poncho we used fit over 4 layers & heavy hooded coat plus helmet- long enough to keep most of your lower half dry even in slant-driven rain. Excess plastic flaps/pulls like a sail for smaller users in heavy wind- which the drawstring hood helps for. If you’re carrying gear you might easily stretch-rip holes in the thin plastic (better than split-rip though, and a fair tradeoff for its compact/disposable nature, plus better mobility than wearing a heavier raincoat)- but we got a few uses from one before several holes were snagged by an ice pick going to and from its holster. Did its job well even in the conditions we put it through.

Good for travelling

I bought these ponchos to use while travelling – so I did not need to have a a bulky umbrella taking up room in my luggage. No more getting soaked during rain storms while out of town! These are small, light, inexpensive, and handy to have just in case.

Great emergency poncho

I bought this to go in my rescue bag – wasn’t planning on using it, but while my husband and I were on a small hike, we ended up needing them (I bought 2 – that or it came with two? Can’t remember…). Worked well, large enough to cover our medium sized packs and it kept us really warm. They tear easily, so my plan is to buy nice ones that we can use when hiking and then buying 2 more of these that we can use in case of an “emergency”.

drawstring hood is the key

Got these to test for our walking pilgrimage trip to santiago de compostela. Big enough to cover a back pack, and more important was the drawstring hood. I had purchased some other brands that work only if you are still in a non windy area (like a stadium). This brand is kinda thin but worked to keep me dry. Would tear easily if not careful but works if walking in rain. Plan to order more to have a new one each day of rain (of course who knows when it will rain?)

Great Poncho

This is a great poncho for a very reasonable price. It is a great size and has a hood with a drawstring to help keep it on in windy weather. I bought one to keep in my car in the event I need to change a tire and do not have a coat with me. For my purpose of an emergency way to stay dry while changing a tire or such, it will work perfectly. Great poncho.

Too thin

Very very very thin and super easy to tear. Still a 4 star because they are low cost

Glad I bought some

This is a little thicker than dry cleaners plastic that they put on your clothes. It is big enough, sleeves long enough, it is also long enough, and the hood is big and has a string where I can pull the string, protecting my whole head, just leaving room to see. Perfect design. I would pay $20 for this same design if thicker. Glad to have these, though.
