I love my new fire starter! I needed a backup backup for backpacking. My go-to choice is some twine tinder and a flint & steel set, and after that I have some waterproof matches in a waterproof container. I took this out and the tinder sticks burn slowly enough to start my kindling going, though I admit I’m a little disappointed that I can only fit 4 inside. (I often go out for 2-3 months at a time, so 4 won’t get me very far, even cut in half as other reviewers suggest).

Nice fire starter

Went out and played with this today, worked just as described and makes fire starting very easy. It’s zippo sized storage container with 4 fire starting tinder inside with the feel of a lighter with no fluid, but makes a good spark to light the tinder. Worked perfect the first time I used it. I bought the refill pack so I had 8 tinders to start fires.

It is a good fire starting package. wading will only light once pulled apart but once lit will burn long enough to get a good fire going.

Perfect for camping or for emergency situations. I have bought two more after my initial purpose, one for my son’s camping supplies. I put the other in my emergency supplies. Way better than magnesium starters. Cheap refills on the Wet Tinder. Dont go in the woods without it.

This is a weird little item. It uses zippo flint and holds 4 zippo tinder sticks. They work. It’s about the same weight as a zippo and slightly larger. It only uses the flint, no fluid…you know this from the description, of course. You can use the striker to ignite other tender…i.e. toilet paper, tissue, cotton lint, etc. It’s a fun item to throw in your pack.
